In the near future, a Japanese scientist engineers a powered exoskeleton called "Infinite Stratos" (IS). Possessing technology and combat capabilities far more advanced than any other weapon system, the IS threatens to destabilize the world. Faced with such an overpowering weapon, the nations of the world enact the "Alaska Treaty", which states that IS will never be used for military combat and that existing IS technology must be equally distributed to all nations, to prevent any one nation from dominating the others. The introduction of the IS does however have a major effect on society. As IS can only be operated by women, the power balance between men and women is broken, with women coming to dominate society over men.

Ten years after the first IS were introduced, the world has entered a new age of peace. The peace is shattered, however, by an unexpected discovery. A 15 year old Japanese boy, named Ichika Orimura, is discovered to be capable of operating an IS. Realizing the potential, Ichika is forced by the Japanese government to attend the prestigious Infinite Stratos Academy, an international academy where IS pilots from all over the world are trained. Thus his busy school life surrounded by girls begins.

Hetalia: Axis Powers is a webcomic, later adapted as a manga and an anime series, by Hidekaz Himaruya . The series presents an allegorical interpretation of political and historic events, particularly of the World War II era, in which the various countries are represented by anthropomorphic characters. Hetalia is a pun combining hetare and Italia This is to make light of Italy's apparent cowardice during World War II.
Himaruya originally created Hetalia as an online webcomic, and so far two tankōbon have been published by Gentosha Comics, the first on March 28, 2008 and the second on December 10, 2008. The series was later adapted into drama CDs, and an anime series created by Studio Deen has also begun streaming online.
The main historical events portrayed in this work occur between World War I and World War II. The series often uses satire and comedy to address well-known and lesser-known historical facts alike. Historical political and military interaction between countries is represented in Hetalia as social and romantic interaction between the characters; the webcomic version in particular depicts military and economic incursions using innuendo.

Kaname Kuran, a pureblood vampire, saved Yuki from an attack by another vampire when she was little. He is the class president of the Night Class, much feared and respected by the other Night Class students. While he is cold and authoritative towards his fellows in the Night Class, he is always kind and sweet to Yuki. He has shown that he cares deeply for Yuki, and loves her in a romantic sense. He allows Zero to live because he knows his death would sadden Yuki, and because Zero is useful. He is both jealous and angry of Zero for biting Yuki and endangering her life. Kaname has been raised as Yuki's older brother. At a young age they had pledged to marry each other when they grow up, just like Haruka and Juuri, who were siblings yet married to each other. It is common for pureblood siblings to marry as it is essential to keep the bloodline pure. Also, a fact yet to be revealed to Yuki is that Kaname is not her "true brother". He is actually the ancient ancestor of the Kurans, and Rido is his master who awakened him from his grave, and put the ancestor's spirit in the 'real' Kaname's body, making him unable to kill his 'master'

Kon ,is the first modsoul to appear in Bleach. He primarily serves as a comedic foil in the series, receiving little respect and much disdain from other characters. He is not completely undeserving of this treatment as he is highly perverted in nature; he is drawn to girls with big breasts (and displays attraction towards Rukia despite her lack thereof, but more because he believes she saved his life) and, when inhabiting another's body, spends his time trying to look up skirts since "it will not be [his] reputation that gets sullied".[38] However, from the beginning he displayed a much more serious side to himself, believing that a life should not be taken on purpose after he witnessed the destruction of other mod souls.[39] Kon's area of expertise are his legs, and thus he can run faster and jump higher than any human, even in his plush form. He typically inhabits a lion plushie that he is very fond of, referring to it as his "sexy body". Kon also inhabits Ichigo Kurosaki's body whenever he is away, playing the part of Ichigo so that his family does not miss him.[40] Although Kon makes only sporadic appearances in the Bleach storyline, he frequently hosts and/or stars in omake specials for the series, self-proclaiming himself the series' mascot. Ichigo is a 15-year-old who attempts to cultivate a detached image, for which he keeps his eyebrows constantly furrowed. Ichigo has natural orange hair, a fact that annoys many bullies in his school, who constantly pick fights with him. Ichigo claims that he does not care what others think and seems to enjoy fighting the bullies. Ichigo has been friends with Tatsuki Arisawa since he was young when he trained karate at the same dojo as her. Tatsuki is his oldest friend and they go to the same school now. While in junior high school, Ichigo met and befriended Yasutora "Chad" Sado, a boy from another school who helped him out of a fight. Chad, although extremely strong, was often the target of beatings because he refused to fight for his own sake due to a promise he had made as a child to his grandfather. Upon discovering this, Ichigo made a pact with Chad in which they both agreed to fight and risk their lives for something the other was willing to risk their life for. Ichigo comments that thanks to Rukia his life changed, and thanks to her he is able to protect the people he cares for.

蔡依林（1980年9月15日－）是一名台灣的女歌手。
1999年以一曲「我知道你很難過」走紅歌壇，甜美的外型、清亮的嗓音被媒體封為新一代的少男殺手，走紅程度在當時與孫燕姿、蕭亞軒、周蕙並稱台灣四小天后。蔡依林出道至今流言紛擾不斷，經歷了合約糾紛、整型風波諸如此類的打擊，重新復出的蔡依林得到各界的好評。同時她也帶動台灣的流行風潮，是當代最有影響力的歌手之一。並在臺灣第18屆金曲獎中以專輯《舞孃》一舉獲得最佳女歌手獎，也成為該獎項最年輕的得主。

蔡依林本名蔡宜凌，後改為蔡宜翎，出生於臺灣臺北市。蔡依林家中排行老二、上面還有一個姐姐。蔡依林畢業於景美女中、輔仁大學英文系（大學時期與F.I.R的Faye為同班同學）。

蔡依林在學校的推薦以及同學的慫恿下，在1998年5月參加MTV音樂臺所舉辦的新聲卡位戰歌唱比賽，並以惠妮·休斯頓的The Greatest Love of All擊敗了三千多位參賽者獲得冠軍。同年於景美女中畢業，並以第一名甄試成績進入輔大英文系。1999年3月蔡依林正式與環球音樂簽約並發行第一張個人同名專輯。

(Mise à jour) "Une tragédie nationale sans précédent". C'est en ces termes que le Premier ministre grec Costas Caramanlis s'est exprimé ce week-end pour qualifier le drame sans précédent que vit le pays depuis quatre jours. Selon un bilan officiel toujours provisoire, au moins 63 personnes ont déjà trouvé la mort carbonisés ou asphyxiés dans les incendies qui sévissent dans différentes régions du pays. Décompte macabre qui devrait encore s'alourdir dans les heures à venir, le front des incendies continuant toujours à progresser, notamment dans la péninsule du Péloponnèse et sur l'île d'Evvoia. La situation est telle que, ce matin encore, les autorités s'avouaient toujours incapables de donner une estimation précise de l'étendue des dégâts. Seul point positif de ce week-end dramatique : les pompiers ont réussi à sauver des flammes le site antique d'Olympie, situé à 30 kilomètres au nord de Zaharo.

Le Péloponnèse, dans le sud montagneux de la Grèce, restent toujours la région la plus touchée par les feux attisés par des vents violents, en particulier à proximité de Zaharo (330km au sud-ouest d'Athènes) . La banlieue Est d'Athènes a été elle aussi touchée par les flammes, à tel point que la capitale toute entière est recouverte de cendres et de suie ce matin. Un peu partout dans le pays, de nombreux villages restent toujours coupés du monde, encerclés par des foyers d'incendie attisés par des vents violents qui ne semblent pas vouloir faiblir. Et pour l'heure, les secours semblent être toujours dépassés par les évènements, en dépit des renforts qui ont été envoyés depuis hier par une dizaine de pays européens pour soutenir l'action des pompiers et de l'armée Grecs sur place.

Face à cette situation hors du commun, le Premier ministre Costas Caramanlis a décrété l'état d'urgence sur l'ensemble de la Grèce. Un deuil national de trois jours a été également été décrété et la campagne électorale pour les législatives du 16 septembre a été interrompue. Pour le Premier ministre tant d'incendies qui éclatent simultanément en de si nombreux endroits du pays ne peuvent être une coïncidence. Et même si la priorité absolue reste, pour l'heure, de lutter sur le terrain pour tenter de contenir la progression des incendies, il promet que "l'Etat fera tout son possible pour trouver les responsables et les punir". Une récompense d'un million d'euros est d'ailleurs proposée pour toute personne permettant aux autorités d'arrêter le(s) pyromane(s) responsable(s) de ces incendies meurtriers.
